On a chilly November evening, nestled in a cozy corner of their favorite Clapham restaurant, a brother and sister sat with their partners, the warmth of family memories mingling with the aroma of fine cuisine. They began reminiscing about their father, a man whose life had been intertwined with the glittering allure of diamonds, though he never brought a single one home.

Years ago, he had worked deep in the heart of Africa, waiting patiently in the untamed jungle for miners to emerge, their hands filled with rough diamonds. These were stones born from the earth’s depths, but their beauty came at a cost—a cost that included long separations from loved ones and the scars left on our planet.

As they shared their memories and sipped their Martinis, the conversation turned to the idea that no family should be separated by the pursuit of such beauty. They spoke of a new kind of diamond—one that didn’t carry the weight of deforestation, pollution, or fractured families. A diamond that was as pure in its creation as it was in its brilliance.

It was then that the concept of the Conscience Diamond was born—a symbol of a new era in fine jewellery, where ethics and elegance coexist. And as they indulged in shrimp tempura, they decided on the name: Six Carats, a tribute to the six children they had between them, and a reminder that the future should be as bright and unblemished as the diamonds they would create.
